YouTube Video of the Week: Yogurt
Yogurt: Faithful friend or evil advertising snare?
Is Sarah Haskins the star of the girl power blogosphere?
I’m not quite sure, but after watching two hilarious videos from Current TV’s “InfoMania” show, she just might be my new hero.
Haskins hosts a segment called “Target: Women,” which satirizes all the boring, brainless and occasionally insulting advertising and TV programming aimed at “just us girls.”
Haskins shows video clips and offers funny, feminist commentary. She’s usually right on the money.
So far, Haskins taken on two scourges of modern society: yogurt (ads targeting women with weight and health worries) and wedding shows (one word: “Bridezillas.”) I can hardly wait to see what she’ll cover next.
Without further ado, the Yogurt Video:

A side note:
I’m pretty sure I interviewed Sarah Haskins in November 2006 when she and The Second City touring company visited the Central Coast. If so, “Hi, Sarah!”
