I talked to Ramses Barden at practice this week leading up to Cal Poly’s football opener at San Diego State on Saturday. He was the main focus of many of Aztecs coach Chuck Long’s media interviews this week. He’ll probably be the focal point of San Diego State’s defense, too.
(Not much going on in the background, but Barden’s a big guy. He blocked out most of the frame.)

“Bloggin with Scroggin”…
Keep up the interviews. As you state at the end of the interview with Ramses, “Who’s next?”

Quite a “nail-biter” last night at The Q in San Diego. As Go Poly states above “Great team effort tonight!!!”
Congratulations to our Mustangs. They did what they had to do including limiting the turnovers, taking advantage of San Diego State’s turnovers, and executing when they had to execute. Andrew Gardner must have had a huge lump in his throat when he went out to kick the game winner because he had previously missed a 40 yard field goal. Then he delivered the game winner.
I expect that it will take a few days before I can get my voice back. Hopefully the San Diego State victory is the start of a very special in the history of Cal Poly Football.
PS to Joshua — would you please put the football game article up on the website — as of Sunday morning it is not there — thank you…

That SDSU crowd was real quiet for most of the game.
Joshua you able to toss something up on youtube from the game?

Deadline was too harsh to whip out the video camera, guys. Sorry.
But I’ll have some quotes in Monday’s game follow, and we’ll keep the blog content coming this week.

Joshua, was there a large CP contingent at the game last night?
BTW, great job covering FB!

OK, so the Trib is letting its print edition die off as it lays of employees and shifts emphasis to web presence…. then it doesn’t blog or recap the Mustangs season-opening victory on its website? I don’t get the picture here.

Joshua…
Just curious — it is now Monday morning and The Tribune’s sports website still includes the Cal Poly Football article from Saturday before the game. There is nothing on actual game at all…
Joshua, I did see the article that you wrote thru the link. When do they plan on updating the website?
