Who will win at the Emmys?

Will “30 Rock,” “Mad Men” sweep the Emmy Awards once more?

Now that the news is out about this year’s Emmy Award nominations, it’s time to get to the meat of the matter.

Who will win? Who will lose? And, most importantly, who will cry?

The Emmy Awards don’t actually air until Sept. 2o. However, as our nation’s television and movie critics know full well, it’s never too early to begin debating the possible winners and losers — preferably while under the influence of fast food and powerful intoxicants.

Is “Dexter” a better show than last year’s big winner, “Mad Men”? Can “The Office” and “Entourage” beat out the comedy powerhouse that is “30 Rock”?

These are the kind of questions answered by cyberspace screaming matches. Or, barring that, a nice, quiet flame war.

In the interest of getting that conversation rolling briskly, here are a couple of polls dealing this year’s Emmy Award nominees.

Let the rampant speculation begin!

I hope Mad Men wins. It is one of the best shows on TV. The show has very loyal fans, but they don’t have a large audience-yet. Jon Hamm is perfect as Don Draper.

To anyone who was confused by yesterday’s polls, I accidentally listed the nominees from last year’s Emmy Awards. Ooops!

Anyway, the correct 2009 nominees are up now.

The Office has gone up and down but remains very good — at least the last two episodes I saw.

What’s this big deal about “30 Rock”? Other than for the Baldwin guy, it’s never funny. Other than the Palin bit, Fey isn’t funny either.

    Are you kidding me, Chuck?!?

“30 Rock” is one of the funniest shows on TV today. Waaaay better than, ugh, “Family Guy.”

  6. David Middlecamp

Look how many of the entries are from cable networks.
Eliminate the primetime broadcast network shows about doctors, lawyers or cops and all you have left is Jay Lenno.

Oh yea, eliminate “reality” TV as well.

Bryan Cranston is one of your finest dramatic actors. Winner by far!!
