Unlike “The Dark Knight” and its ilk, “Green Lantern” belongs to an earlier comic book tradition: the bright, lighthearted action-adventure. Replete with comic touches and sparkling special effects, this often silly science fiction flick is Silver Age entertainment, plain and simple.
