The countdown begins for summer respite

Is there any workday better than a Friday before a vacation?

Okay, well, maybe a Friday before retirement. But I’m not exactly in a hurry to get to retirement age. But right now, at 3:50 on Friday afternoon, I’ve got it all ahead of me. The weekend. Monday, Tuesday . . . the other weekend. Nine days, none of them working.

Not that I don’t appreciate having a job. But still. You know what I’m saying.

While I’m always in favor of a good staycation, this time we’re considering actually doing something. Going somewhere. But the thing is, we haven’t decided yet. Yosemite is a possibility. Sequoia might be a little easier in the summer. And then there’s that train that travels down to San Diego.

I could sit on a train for a while.

Anyway, drop a comment if you have any suggestions. Or just tell me what you plan to do this summer. Or don’t tell me anything at all. Because, really, I don’t care. I’m an hour away from a week off. I’m already in La La Land.
