San Luis Obispo’s downtown has been greatly improved with the addition of trees. Many of the car lots have been moved to the edges of town and as of this writing gas costs over ten times more than ¢31.9 per gallon.
(I remember dad driving around the block because ¢33.9 was too much to pay for a gallon of gas.)
You can count on one hand the number of independent gas stations in town today.
