Folger’s Coffee makes you want to live

The advertising copy is short and impossible to argue with. You have to own a product that “makes you want to WAKE UP AND LIVE!”
Instant coffee was one of the new wonder foods of the day, like instant cake mixes, just add water and stir.
My son says I need to wean myself from coffee in the morning, I say one cup is not excessive. However if my eyes look like the model’s in this photo he may have a point.
What is the wonder food you can’t live without?

My goodness! Why am I NOT drinking Instant Folger’s Coffee?? It appears to have magical powers …
I could go for the easy answer and say the one food I can’t live without is chocolate, but I don’t eat enough of it to justify that response. I’d say tea or fresh fruit — hardly “wonder foods” but still essential.

It’s obvious that in 1958 the only way that a young and lovely housewife could LIVE(!) was to cook on those pots behind her or finish her laundry using the iron directly behind her, which I hope isn’t on because if it tips over she is going to get a nasty burn on those bare arms of hers. Get your biscuits in the oven, deary!

i don’t like folger’s instant, but i do like the regular coffee. that is the only thing except for water that i enjoy. doesn’t make me want to live any more than anything else. but i got a good laugh out of it. thanks

I love waking up to my wife brewing a pot of joe. The wonderful odor simply makes morning…well, morning.
I just wish it didn’t taste so horrible..yuck:D
