Sunsoaked and rain starved, California Valley is a unique place. This photo was made by Jim Vestal July 15, 1966 but I could not find an article to go with it. The building is unusually tall, perhaps it was built as a grain processing facility. Driving by places like this I wonder what the story was. Who hammered the shingles onto the roof, where did they come from, where did they go?

I don’t remember this picture, but that is my car, sold later 1973 in hot Sacramento – no air conditioning except turned in windwings! Have new “MY TIME – MY DIME” travel book back to 1954, to present days, out yesterday via my website…jwv
