Ice cream, you screamed

An ice cream vendor truck was in the neighborhood with its music on. An officer could hear it, but was not able to find it.

8:40 a.m. Tuesday | 700 block Paso Robles Street | Malicious mischief

Supposed to report the news, not create it

A person from the Best Bike Zone said the store front was vandalized. There was profanity on the front door and dirt and debris in the area. The person thought the problems were related to people associated with The Tribune.

2:30 p.m. Tuesday | 2140 Tractor Street | Suspicious circumstances

A resume and cover letter will probably yield better results

A person at Collision Central said a man was in the business looking for work. The man had a skateboard and went to the back of the business, looked in the refrigerator and put his arms around the secretary.

8:17 p.m. Tuesday | 100 block Almond Street | Suspicious circumstances

Might be a bit pathological

A woman said at 5:30 p.m. that day, a juvenile male the neither she nor her children knew was seen inside her home. He took a drink out of the refrigerator and then left. An officer talked with the family, and found that one daughter said the boy came into the house and took water. However, the mom was not sure because the daughter had lied before. The officer told them to call police if someone comes into the house.

Think you need a cat priest, not the police

An unknown cat was in a resident’s yard and attacked the dogs. The cat would not leave, even after it was sprayed with water. The cat was described as pure white with glowing red eyes. It was gone by the time officers arrived.

A waiting room just for thieves

An adult female was being held in the loss prevention office at Kohl’s after being caught shoplifting. Officers came and arrested her.

9:33 p.m. Saturday | 1700 block Ramada Drive | Assist other agency

Not going to waste a golden opportunity

A man wearing an ankle tracking device reportedly left his home after he figured out the device’s battery was dying. Parole agents asked that officers detain him if found.
