Odd calls made to Pismo Beach police, Aug. 15-21

1:28 a.m. Friday | 2500 block Solano Road | Extra patrol

They make a vaccine for that

A resident complained about a loud “whooping” noise.

4:29 p.m. Friday | Boosinger Park | Subject check

They’d probably be really offended in some high school gyms

A man and woman were simulating sexual activity, a person said. Both were dressed. An officer contacted the couple, who were leaving the park after wrestling in the grass.

9:44 p.m. Friday | 600 block Five Cities Drive | 911 hang up

It’s all just so difficult

Someone called 911 and hung up. The front desk of the hotel could not tell which room it came from. Someone called 911 again, and a dispatcher spoke to a woman, but it was difficult to hear her because of low volume. When asked if she had an emergency the woman sighed and said “no, I don’t.” When asked if she was trying to dial out, she said “yes, that’s what I was trying to do.” An officer went to the hotel to check on the woman, who apparently had been drinking.

9:07 a.m. Saturday | 100 block Dolliver | Grand theft

Would you leave that much cash unlocked?

A bike was reportedly stolen during the night. The bike was not locked up. It was described as having pink pedals, pink grips, a white frame and blue rims value. It was valued at $1,500.

10:14 p.m. Saturday | 700 Dolliver Street | Keep the peace

Gee, that sounds important

An employee of Pismo Market and Liquor requested an officer respond to keep the peace after a customer bought a box of beer, and the box broke.

10:45 p.m. Saturday | PCV | Theft

So they saw the suspect, but didn’t recognize him?

A person reported a BMX bike was stolen 30 minutes previously. The suspect was a male, but there was no further description. The person called back two minutes later to cancel, saying the father stashed the bike, which was valued at $500, to teach his son a lesson because he left the bike out.

The couple simulating wrestling in the grass were just having a rehab session. Most people know the YMCA offers many classes, and students have to do home work.
