A resident heard someone ringing her doorbell and heard someone in her yard. She said the person then started banging on her door. Officers checked the area, and found one of the resident’s family members had arrived.

Shocked into silence
A woman said she saw her vehicle being driven away earlier that morning, but was too shocked to call and report it until now.
9:13 a.m. Sunday | 1100 block of Nanette Lane | Check the welfare
Yelling was heard coming from a residence, and someone said “he can barely stand up.” It was unknown if someone needed help. Officers arrived and found that the family’s dog had had a seizure.
1:26 a.m. Tuesday | 2800 Buena Vista Drive | Suspicious vehicles
Can’t be tardy
A man was sleeping in a car in the parking lot at Cuesta College. Officers talked with the man, who said his car had broken down and he had classes in the morning, so he was trying to get some sleep. He said he would get his car fixed in the morning.
9:59 a.m. Tuesday | 500 block of Rose Lane | Peace disturbance
A woman said her neighbor was squirting her dog with a garden hose, and when she went outside, he squirted her too. Officers talked with both residents, and found that the main issue was the woman’s dogs were continually barking and neither were happy with the way Animal Services dealt with the issue.
2:49 p.m. Tuesday | 227 Vine St. | Suspicious circumstances
Someone dumped a duffle bag in the alley and ran off. There was nothing of value in the bag, only a blanket and a dog license. Officers were able to contact the person responsible for the bag and he was warned not to dump in other people’s Dumpsters.
8:03 a.m. Wednesday | 1210 Corra Creek Ave. | Other
A woman said her significant other took her car without her permission and did not return it. Officers spoke with both the woman and her partner, who were having relationship problems. The husband was apparently trying to upset his wife by saying the vehicle had been towed. It was in the parking lot.
8:22 p.m. Wednesday | 2200 block of Park Street | Suspicious circumstances
A resident said a man knocked on her window and was in her backyard, asking her where the sober house was.
1:34 p.m. Thursday | 1511 Spring St. | Animal problem
Move ‘em out
A swarm of bees was gathering on the sidewalk, and looked to be making a hive on the side of the building. A bee collectors was contacted, and said he had three other swarms to collect and would get it around sunset.
